Stefanos Tsitsipas is about to start his run at this uncharacteristic US Open where he will try to finally conquer his maiden slam. This major is about to commence as a sort of “civil war” started among the tennis players after Novak Djokovic decided to found the new Professional Tennis Players Association after abandoning the presidency of the ATP Council.
Alongside some other players, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal expressed their disagreement with Novak’s action saying that it’s time now to be united to weather the huge storm caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Some other players like Stefanos Tsitsipas decided to be as neutral as possible also to stay focus on the US Open. When asked about his opinion, Stefanos was extremely straightforward to comment:
“I am not involved at all in this matter. I have nothing to do with this and I will not comment.”
Stefanos will play his 1st round o Monday when he will face Albert Ramos-Vinolas strong of a 2-0 head to head record against the Spaniard.
