Novak Djokovic is meant to play Milos Raonic in the Western & Southern final on Saturday, but it is not clear if that is going to happen.
The Serbian legend won an incredible match against an always-dangerous Roberto Bautista-Agut in 3 hours. Nole fought like a lion even if he was clearly struggling from a physical point of view and Roberto was all over the places. However, that took a toll on his body and according to communication, his situation worsened after the match.
“Novak Djokovic was not feeling well on court today and it worsened after the match. The tournament medical team has advised him not to do press today. We will be sending out a quote as soon as possible,” said a communicate.
Will Djokovic play the final vs. Raonic?
Novak was already struggling with his neck at the beginning of the week and being under the weather right before the start of such a tough tournament as the US Open is definitely not ideal. There are obvious question marks about his participation to the final and it’s important to remember that the Serbian champion was indeed infected by the Covid-19. Dimitrov also tested positive to later admit that he has many ups and downs and that could be the case of the world no.1.
