Rafa is back also in singles!

It took 87 minutes for the King of Clay to dispatch world no.128 Federico Delbonis and reach the third round in Vina del Mar.

Rafa played with his “normal style” and it seems he was not affected at all by his knee. Nadal broke Federico Delbonis 4 times (he converted 4 break points out of 11) to not to be broken once (he conceded only 1 break point).

The King of Clay won 68 points vs. Delbonis’ 52.

In the next round Rafa will play either Montanes (head to head 4-0 for Rafa that has never conceded a set) or Gimeno-Traver (head to head 1-0 for Rafa in Barcelona 2011 … 6-1 – 6-1).

On the other side of the draw, Juan Monaco, seeded no.2 was upset in his opener by world no.93 Guillaume Rufin 7-6 (3) 6-4.
