Naomi Osaka, Serena Williams, Ashleigh Barty and Simona Halep are the highest-paid female athletes according to Forbes. The prestigious media outlet based its analysis for the period of June 1, 2019 and June 1, 2020. It’s remarkable how tennis is the most lucrative sport for female athletes as the only non-tennis related sportswoman in the top 10 is Alex Morgan (soccer).

It’s very interesting to see how good are the PR teams of Naomi Osaka, Serena Williams and Alex Morgan in creating value from the endorsements. Probably a wide appreciation of their image in the American and Japanese (for Osaka) markets is a huge boost for their earnings.
