Matteo Gigante ousts Filippo Baldi 6-4 7-64 in the qualifications in the Todi Challenger on Saturday in what was an all-Italian contest. Gigante will try to go further in the tournament when playing against Andrea Arnaboldi in the next round.

Baldi enjoyed quite a good start of the set after breaking Gigante in the 2nd game (2-0). Nevertheless, Gigante refused to bow to find the way to come back to break Baldi 3 times in the 3rd (1-2), in the 7th (4-3) and in the 9th (5-4) game before winning the set (6-4).
