Dayana Yastremska and Aleksandra Kasatkina were among the biggest names that had to play the Prague Open this week. However, both Dayana and Aleksandra couldn’t make it for different reasons.

Currently ranked no.25, Dayana could not play as she faced a dental issue. Yastremska had therefore to get back to Odessa to get assistance. From there she is expected to travel to the US. Dayana played her last match on the 7th of August when she was defeated by Camila Giorgi 4-6 7-65 6-3 in the quarter in Palermo.
Dayana Yastremska’s most significant result of the current season was reaching the final in Adelaide.
Daria Kasatkina in 2020
At the moment ranked no.66, Darya was not able to recover in time from a hamstring injury. She played her last match on the 3rd of August when she capitulated to Jasmine Paolini 5-7 6-4 6-4 in the 1st round in Palermo.
Daria Kasatkina’s best accomplishment of the present year was reaching the semi-finals in Lyon.
Dayana Yastremska and Daria Kasatkina played each other once. The head to head is 1-0 for Yastremska. When they played, Dayana Yastremska won 6-1 6-4 in the 1st round in Moscow (Kremlin Cup) in October 2019.
