Serena Williams Happy In Lexington

LEXINGTON. Serena Williams is finally getting closer and closer to be back to competitions after being away from the tour for more than 6 months. During a recent press conference in Lexington, the American sensation has been extremely candid, revealing that she was in a rather strong lockdown for long since she was scared about being infected by the Coronavirus.

Serena is now elated with having the opportunity to finally playing a tournament in Lexington.

“I never expected to be playing here in Kentucky, but it’s close to Florida and easy to get here for me, and I’m excited,” Serena commented.

“There won’t be fans here, but it’s cool. We’ve been stuck at home for six months and I’ve never been home for that long since I was a teenager. Even when I was pregnant, I was traveling a lot to so many different places, so it’s been a long time since I’ve been home that long. That was nice, but it’s also a really cool opportunity to come to Kentucky,” she added.

Williams will have a trying draw as she might face the likes of Venus Williams, Vika Azarenka and Sloane Stephens early in the draw in Kentucky.
