Alexander Zverev and David Ferrer share an interesting path. The Spaniard ended his fantastic career against the German to become his coach after 1 year.
Sascha and David spent a few weeks together on a trial basis, and that went so well that they have decided to go ahead with their partnership. That was confirmed by Sascha after he defeated Felix Auger-Aliasisme at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown.
The world no.7 commented:
“The test phase is over. We are together, in a partnership. We understand each other incredibly well and are now a team. David and my father are both my head coaches now. My dad doesn’t get any younger either. Both are extremely important in the team.”
Sascha has already ended 2 partnerships with 2 tennis legend with Juan Carlos Ferrero and Ivan Lendl. Unfortunately, it didn’t end well in both cases.
