Slone Stephens is the new big thing in American tennis and Ellen could not miss the opportunity.
The teenager has impressed everybody at the Australian Open after reaching the semifinals. Sloane defeated American no.1 and her childhood idol Serena Williams in an incredible match in the quarter final to fall to Victoria Azarenka in the semis.
Sloane’s defeat at the hands of the world no.1 did spark a lot of controversy as the Belarusian took a medical time out that looked to be a trick to stop the American comeback.
Stephens didn’t impress the public only for her wonderful tennis, but also for her bright personality that is in big contrast with the current women’s tennis that unfortunately is full of controversies, animosities and “bad losers”.
“I’m the same person, doing the same thing,” she said to some interviewers. “Nothing is going to change at all.”
Sloane will appear on Wednesday at The Ellen DeGeneres Show…. we would not miss it!
