Life can be “cruel” at times. Serena Williams is widely considered as the best female player in history and she needs to stand the fact that it seems that her daughter prefers soccer to tennis!
Serena had a rather entertaining video chat with Natalie Portman after both of them became the proud co-owner of a new team in Los Angeles that will play the National Women’s Soccer League.
Serena Williams’s daughter Olympia and soccer
During the chat, Serena talked about many things, and the American legend couldn’t refrain from uncovering her “jealousy” when her daughter Olympia kicks a soccer ball. Actually, Olympia having a healthy relationship with soccer makes also sense as she is also part of the ownership of the newly founded club.
“There are so many women athletes right now, tennis players, soccer players, that are just super exciting. I have a daughter, and I’m not sure what I would’ve done if I had a son, but it’s just nice for her to have a father that’s supportive of her. It’s been really cool for her and her future here.”
Our daughter loves soccer. I hate to say it! Every time she starts kicking a ball, I get this jealous look in my eyes and I give her a tennis racquet.”
