Rafael Nadal is well-known for being one of the best tennis competitors in history. The Spanish sensation is also famous for his lengthy routines when he plays tennis. Well, it seems that Rafa has his own procedures also when playing golf, a sport that he loves practicing.

Rafa was caught hitting the first shot at a local golf tournament in Mallorca and he featured a rather interesting movement with his legs before going at it (by the way, the swing looked great).

Why Rafeal Nadal prefers playing golf than soccer right now

During a recent interview, Rafa also explained why right now he prefers playing golf instead of engaging in soccer matches. The Spaniard commented:

“Well, I love football. But the problem is that it will be dangerous, for the injuries, no? So, I am playing more golf these days. I like to play golf, it is a social sport.

I get to spend time in the family, with friends. It’s a sport with a hand technique, where you can compete with people with all kinds of different levels. That makes the sport fun. Football, I’m very bad at it today. I used to play football for a team here as a 14-year-old. I was okay, not bad. But now, honestly, I am not able to play football, I am either bad or very bad at it.”

Looking at this video, Nadal doesn’t look that bad at playing soccer as he says.
