Serena Williams keeps on trying to help the other women asking to be put on secondary courts

Serena Williams knows very well what it takes to reach stardom and how tough is for women to get there. The American legend didn’t have the luxury of learning to play tennis in any posh club, but she had to find her way through the hard way.

Serena is well-known for defending the rights of women and she is often not that thrilled when often men are the “first choice” for playing on center courts. Serena Williams and her daughter joined Natalie Portman to become the owners of a new team in Los Angeles that will compete in the National Women’s Soccer League and her relationship with the American actress is getting stronger and stronger.

Serena Williams about giving space to other women

During a recent discussion with Natalie, Serena revealed that she would be more than happy no tot play on centre courts and give opportunities to other women.

“I literally say, ‘Just put me on the 2nd court so we can have other players go on Centre Court’ and obviously that doesn’t go well with the tournament. I’m like, ‘These other women really need a chance and they deserve it, they’ve been working literally their whole lives and you guys are just giving them 2 matches.’”
