Roger Federer has surprised his fans many times and he has the intention to do the same once again at almost 39 years of age. Roger had to undergo a 2nd procedure to his right knee as he had some issues in recovering after the first operation. The good news is that as reported by RTN, Federer’s coach Severin Luthi revealed that this time the rehabilitation is going well.

Roger Federer’s schedule

Severin said that Roger is already doing his physio and he will train with his racket in less than 1 month.

“Roger is fine. Very good indeed, but that’s not surprising when you know his way of always seeing the positive side of things. He’s doing his physio. He started working again on the physical plane. The next step will be the resumption of racket training in hand in mid-August,” said Luthi.

It’s also interesting to know that Roger Federer didn’t exclude to play a warm-up tournament right before the Australian Open that remains Roger’s main target for his comeback.

“We stand by what has been decided: Roger will return for 2021 Australian Open if it takes place. However, consideration is being given to the opportunity of playing a tournament just before Melbourne.”
