Genie Bouchard is eager to get back to tennis and finally lift her rankings. The Canadian beauty is currently ranked outside the top300 and she will try to get back to a better position when the tour resumes. Surprisingly, Genie Bouchard decided to get back to competitions in Prague (10th of August) instead of competing in the US in Lexington.

Genie announced that she received a wildcard for Prague with the following statement:
“Hey, everyone I’m so excited because I’m going to play in the Prague Open in a couple of weeks. Actually, I have never been to Prague, I have heard it’s a beautiful city. And I am so looking forward to discovering it when I am over there. I want to thank the tournament for offering me a wildcard into this great event, I will see you all in few weeks,”

Currently ranked no.328, Bouchard played her last match on the 27th of January when she was overcome by Alexa Glatch 6-1 6-2 in the 1st round of the Oracle Challenger Series Newport Beach.
