Roger Federer and Ivan Ljubicic have been enjoying a fantastic partnership. Since Ivan joined Roger’s camp they won together 15 titles with 3 slams included. However, at almost 39 years of age and after a couple of procedures to his right knee, the date of Roger’s retirement is getting closer and closer.
During a recent interview with Novi List, Ivan commented:
“Roger will be my last coaching job. My commitment to this project after Roger is absolute. But Roger and I go further, my work with him is solid and there are no problems there. However, his injury and pause due to the pandemic gave him time and space. After his career, I can dedicate myself one hundred percent to what makes me happy. Then I will be able to help the players in a way that we judge to be the best. At the moment, as far as the coaching part of the job is concerned, it’s exclusively Roger. The rest is marketing and sponsorship.”
