Stefanos Tsitsipas, Daniil Medvedev, Denis Shapovalov and Felix Auger Aliassime will be part of a rather strong roaster that will (hopefully) compete in Washington next months.

It’s interesting to notice that last year’s champion Nick Kyrgios is not in the preliminary list as the Australian has multiple times criticized tennis for coming back during the pandemic.

Daniil Medvedev (the 2019 runner-up) and Stefanos Tsitsipas will probably be the top favorites and both have repeatedly confirmed their participation in the North American swing.

However, we need to stress the fact that since the situation is extremely fluid with the Coronavirus pandemic, many changes and defections are expected. For example, Alexei  Popyrin is still on this list, but he has already revealed that he won’t play in the US.

Therefore, while the American played are widely expected to compete, there are some doubts about the ones coming from the other continents.

The event will be staged from 13-20 of August.
