Tsitsipas, Medvedev committed to play in the US. Popyrin will miss the US Open

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Daniil Medvedev

During this Coronavirus pandemic, there are many talks about the opportunity to restart pro-tennis. While the outbreak seems to be in control in Europe things are getting more and more complicated in North America. Some players such as Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Simona Halep seem to be more and more against playing the American slam while some others do share the same feeling.

The organization of the US Open can rely on the presence of Stefanos Tsitsipas and Daniil Medvedev that have both confirmed their willingness to play in North American. Stefanos made it clear that he trusts the organization of the slam and he is not scared by the pandemic.

Daniil had a fantastic experience from his American Swing in 2019 after he won Cincinnati and he reached the finals in Washington, Montreal, and at the US Open. Therefore, the Russian ace has confirmed his presence in the US.

Australian rising star, Alexei Popyrin is not feeling comfortable about traveling to the US and after it was confirmed that the rankings system was changed following a 22-months logic, he decided not to play in America.
