Novak Djokovic is one of the most generous and engagement athletes in the world. The Serbian sensation runs an extremely active foundation and he is used to doing a lot of donations to help his compatriots and beyond. Novak’s generosity is not a show-off. During the recent Coronavirus pandemic when Italy was in dire straits, the world no.1 made a very generous donation to a hospital in the north of Italy without even making a public announcement.

“(From poverty, I learned) to be aware that I’m not the only person in the world so that everything isn’t done just for me or in my personal self-interest, When you see poverty, and you yourself are part of it, that sort of experience simply makes you want to look at everything in life from different angles.”

Djokovic is currently in Serbia and he has recently recovered after being infected by the Coronavirus. During a recent interview, the 17-time slam champion had the opportunity to elaborate on how poverty helped him to understand the others.
