Novak Djokovic didn’t enjoy at all the last few weeks when he was continuously blasted by some media and colleagues after the Adria Tour was halted because of the Coronavirus. Admittedly, Novak was a bit too excited by the event, but he wasn’t the only one to blame after some players and team members were found positive to the Coronavirus.

Eventually, also Novak and his wife Jelena tested positive to self-isolate. The Serbian sensation was finally tested negative and he is now back to the practice court.

Talking to Serbian outlet Sportski Zurnal, the world no.1 revealed that he wasn’t happy about how he was treated saying that’s was clear that there was an agenda to discredit him and his intentions. Novak commented:

“Lately, I only see criticism, very malicious. Obviously, there is something more than that criticism, as if there is an agenda as if it was a witch-hunt. Someone had to fall, some person, some big-name had to be the main culprit for everything.

I leave it to others to say if that is fair, I don’t think it is, I think that we must learn from all of this and to adapt as we go along.”

Novak has been slammed hard especially by Nick Kyrgios that criticized his leadership. Nevertheless is great to see Djokovic back on court with his friend Viktor Troicki. The hope is that all this mess is archived and, as per Nole’s words, we all learn from what has happened.
