Stefanos Tsitsipas

Stefanos Tsitsipas is currently playing the Ultimate Tennis Showdown in the South of France at the Patrick Mouratolou’s Academy.

The Greek in top form and he is leading the competition with a decent margin. Obviously, his attention is on when the official tennis will be back and apparently he is ready to compete in all the major events with the US Open included.

During a recent interview with Tennis Majors, when asked about his plans after the UTS, Stefanos replied: “I have a plan. I will join the US Tour.”

Then the world no.6 insisted that he is not worried by the pandemic and he trusts USTA to say:

“If the organization of the tournament is going to give the green light to us, to go and play, I’m not afraid.”

Tsitsipas also shared his “sympathy” with the ATP for organizing tight schedules (what else?) and he is ready for the challenge.

“We lost a lot of time with the lockdown. It’s been a big gap, which we need to recover, and that’s the only way to do it. I have to be prepared for a difficult schedule, a difficult few weeks on the tour, and to get the job done!”
