Naomi Osaka: I miss tennis a lot

Naomi admits that she is looking forward to the competitions to be back.

Naomi Osaka has been experiencing a rather weird relationship with her sport. The Japanese sensation stunned the tennis community after winning back to back the US Open (2018) and the Australian Open (2019), but then she succumbed to pressure. After a weird 2019, she found herself again by the end of the season, but of course, her 2020 is shattered by the Coronavirus pandemic.

Like most of us, Naomi had a lot of time to think about her life and eventually during an interview with CNN, she admitted that she is now grateful for the chances she has to play tennis at her level. She revealed:

“For me, it’s a bit concerning, but I know that other players are in the same position as me, probably. I will have more of a feeling of gratitude because you never know when something like this will happen again and I miss tennis a lot.”

Naomi is finally back on court with her sister Mari to regain her form hoping that competitions will be back soon. As for now, tours have been suspended until August.
