Serena Williams, Coco Gauff send heartfelt message to the students graduating at the Mouratoglou’s Academy

Serena Williams has always been a huge inspiration not only for the community of color or her fans in the US, but for all people all over the world.

The 23-time slam champion keeps on fighting for what she thinks is right, and she loves inspiring others.

Serena’s coach Patrick Mouratoglou has been running an extremely successful Academy in the South of France. The former world no.1 didn’t miss the chance to address the students graduating at the Academy with an inspiring video with the following message:

“Hey, everyone, I wish every there with you today, to celebrate and important chapter of your young adult’s lives.

Whatever path you decide to take in the future and whether its tennis or some other field, I want you to remember this, you have to believe in yourself when no one else does. When I was growing up I went on the court, with just a ball, racquet, hope, and a dream.

You have the same thing there in the academy. So while you’re preparing for the next chapter, fill your hearts with all these lessons that you have learned through these years. Never stop believing in yourself and you will be able to create something incredibly beautiful, I’m wishing you well.”

Serena’s heir, Coco Gauff also sent a lovely message to the students as follows:

“Hi everyone, it’s Coco, and I want to congratulate the Class of 2020 on graduating. I am so proud of you guys and I know we’re going through difficult times right now, but you deserve to celebrate and have a good time. I hope you guys are proud of yourselves because first of all, you should be. I know some of you personally and I am proud of each and everyone of you. You guys are great people and you are going to do even greater things.

I hope you guys are going to have a great summer, party hard, have fun and I’ll see you guys soon hopefully.”

Ranked world no.9, Serena Williams played her last match on the 8^th of February when she was defeated by Anastasija Sevastova 7-6⁵ 3-6 7-6⁴ in the Rubber 4 of the Fed Cup.

Presently, this year Serena Williams has a 8-2 win-loss record. The American clinched 1 title in Auckland.

Cori Gauff in 2020

At the moment ranked no.52, Cori played her last match on the 26^th of January when she was overcome by Sofia Kenin 6-7⁵ 6-3 6-0 in the 4^th round of the Australian Open.

Serena Williams and Cori Gauff have never played each other.
