Stefanos Tsitsipas and Corentin Moutet had a rather harsh spat during their recent match at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown. When the Greek sensation was recovering from a 0-2 quarters deficit, the Frenchman lost his patience against Stefanos’s father saying that he was talking when Moutet was serving.
Corentin went as far as saying that Stefanos’ father is “stupid” when commenting on what happened during a changeover.
He will pay for it
Stefanos kept his coll when commenting on what happened saying that at end of the day the Frenchman will be the one to pay for his erratic behavior.
“With him, it’s not really unusual. I’ve known him since he was eight years old, it has always been this way. Once we had a European junior championships final where he left the court in the middle of a match because of referee issues so it was not unusual for me. It’s UTS, you have to enjoy. I feel like he’s making it way too dramatic for what it is but it’s his choice. He can do whatever he likes, but at the end, he’s going to pay for it.”
