David Ferrer ended his fantastic career last year in Madrid playing against Sascha Zverev (May 2019) and interesting enough he will coach the German on a trial basis.
According to Spanish outlet La Marca, the overall idea is that David will spend the next few weeks with Sascha on the practice court to see if they have the right chemistry and to share their ideas and expectations. The German didn’t have a great experience with another Spanish coach, Carlos Ferrero, as the 2 split in rather bad terms.
The public may perceive a huge contrast in terms of work dedication between David and Sascha. Zverev is not enjoying a great moment right now as was caught breaking the pledge to self-isolate after he Adria Tour. The German instead was filmed partying in the South of France with some models.
