The American posted an uplifting video with the following message:

“Being a champion is about empowering the next generation to change the world. ‘Champion’ is not something we are. ‘Champion’ is something we do. It’s time to champion for change, and we can start by listening and learning from the Equal Justice Initiative.”

Serena is also amplifying the voice of EJI (Equal Justice Initiative) to add

“Tune into the BET Awards tonight to listen what EJI has to say.”
