Novak Djokovic is not in a great place right now. The Serbian ace has organized the Adria Tour with all the best intentions, but things went horribly wrong. The event had a great welcoming in both Serbia and Croatia, but unfortunately no social distancing was respected. The outcome was that some players and members of the teams tested positive to the Coronavirus.
Novak was heavily criticized as he ceded to enthusiasm and optimism. However, the Serbian legend apologized about what has happened and he received also the full support of other top personalities such as Dejan Stankovic, Nemanja Matić, Dayana Yastremaska and Olga Danilovic (to name a few).
The dead wishes from Split
Unfortunately, tension is flying around uncontrollably and many are pushing the blame for what has happened at the Adria Tour. A horrible graffiti appeared in Split, the second city in Croatia, saying as follows:
“To die from her [Coronavirus] is our wish. Greetings from Split, God grant (our wish). Djokovic, die.”
Of course, these graffiti do not mean that Novak is hated in Croatia, but they are still quite alarming.
“Da umreš od nje to nam je želja, pozdrav iz Splita da Bog da krepa. Đokoviću, umri”, gnusan je grafit koji je osvanuo na jednoj kući u središtu Splita pic.twitter.com/NWqlTxyiPE
