Naomi Osaka shocked after being called racist

Naomi is baffled after a tweet was completely misinterpreted

Naomi Osaka

This is quite new for Naomi Osaka. The Japanese sensation has been extremely active and vocal after the horrible killing of George Floyd. The former world no.1 has been campaigning against systematic racism in the US, but she was shocked to learn that she has been curiously accused of being racist!

Naomi posted a funny image on Twitter with a clear reference to the embarrassing situation in the Balkans after the Adria Tour resulted in a huge flop for spreading the coronavirus among players and in the community. However, the so-called haters managed to interpret that image as a message from Naomi calling the Japanese “yellow monkey.”

Of course, that was not the intention of Naomi that instead posted the following message:

“Tweeted this in reference to the covid cases but Japanese twitter thinks I was calling them yellow monkeys. I’ve never seen more misunderstanding in my life.”

Some people can be quite creative in getting offended.
