Stefanos Tsitsipas is about to start his run at the controversial and innovative Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS). The competition is promoted by Serena William’s coach Patrick Mouratoglou and a key element is the spur emotions.

The UTS published an entertaining video of Stefanos Tsitsipas introducing himself. The world no.6 got the nickname of the “Greek God.”

When he was asked why he is going to win the UTS, Stefanos replied:

“I’m going to win UTS because every god deserves a crown.”

Unfortunately, the inaugural day of this event didn’t start well as the rain wiped out the play. Stefanos was meant to lock horns with Richard Gasquet in his first match.

Now ranked no.6, Tsitsipas played his last match on the 7th of March when he defeated Jeson Patrombon 6-2 6-1 in the Rubber 4 of the Davis Cup.

Currently, this year Tsitsipas has a 11-5 win-loss record. Tsitsipas clinched 1 title in Marseille. Tsitsipas was the finalist in Dubai.
