Naomi Osaka shares her love for Japan

Naomi Osaka and Japan

Naomi Osaka has been on an emotional rollercoaster during the last few weeks following the horrible murder of George Floyd that has further exposed racists behaviors in the US.

The Japanese sensation was so upset about what has happened to take on the street and be extremely active on social media. However, sometimes, Naomi was a bit too aggressive toward some comments to probably cause the horror of her agent as per Osaka’s funny tweet.

After deleting a rather aggressive tweet, Naomi posted a message stressing the fact that criticizing racist remarks from Japan doesn’t need that Japan is a racist country.

“I know I’ve been attacking a lot of racist Japanese tweets the last few days but Japan is actually a really amazing place. I really don’t want to give the misconception that the entire country is racist, they just have a few bad apples like everyone else. Love you guys,” she said in a tweet.

Then in another tweet she added:

“I’m gonna be a peaceful person now.”

The 2-slams champion has huge endorsements from Japanese companies such as Nissin, and she is an icon in Japan. Obviously, it’s not wise for her to alienate the sympathy of her compatriots. Time to be wise.
