Rafael Nadal is one of the most admired athletes in history not only for his impossible records but also because he is a great person. The Mallorcan legend founded one of the most well-known tennis Academies in the world and he was committed to providing a good level of education to the young players residing at the Academy and beyond.
About the Rafa Nadal International School
Rafa and his team had the brilliant idea to set up the so-called Rafa Nadal International School that has the aim of allowing athletes to combine tennis and studies. That came from Rafa’s experience since he used to struggle in studying while competing with the very best players in the world when he was already a teenager.
The school is also open to youngsters that are not part of the Academy and has 180 students from 45 different nationalities.
Nadal and his friend David Ferrer gave a nice speech last year on the occasion of the graduation. In particular, Rafa commented
“The most important thing is that you become good persons. This is the best advice we can give you.”

This year, the ceremony is slightly different than the previous years. Nevertheless, it’s always nice to see the effort and the effectiveness of Rafa and his team to create this kind of institution.

Ranked world no.2, Nadal played his last match on the 29th of February when he overcame Taylor Fritz 6-3 6-2 in the final in Acapulco to win his 85th career title.
Currently, this year Nadal has a 13-3 win-loss record. Rafael clinched 1 title in Acapulco.
