RACISM. Auger-Aliassime talks about a personal episode

Felix is another important young voice raised from young tennis players

Felix Auger Aliassime

Felix Auger Aliassime is one of the most promising tennis players in the world and he is also an extremely intelligent guy.

Felix was raised by his mother Maria that is a French-Canadian and his father Sam that is from Togo. Therefore, as per his own words, he knows “both words”. The youngster was raised in L’Ancienne-Lorette, a suburb of Quebec City, and he was happy to live in a place where he had the freedom of free speech. Felix revealed that he feels upset when other people do not have the same privilege and therefore he was shocked about what has been happening in the US.

Felix shared a personal story when his father was pulled over by the police for the simple fact that he was a (successful) black guy driving an expensive Mercedes. Eventually, everything ended up without any violence, but that left a bad taste.

The video was “applauded” on social media by Coco Gauff that has been quite vocal about the recent episodes in the US.

“Am I next?”Gauff keeps on raising her voice after the horrid killing of George Floyd
