Tennis is slowly but surely resuming after he Coronavirus pandemic wreaked havoc all over the world. Regional tennis events are popping up all over the world. Novak Djokovic has recently managed to organize the Adria Tour and another unofficial tournament will take place in Berlin in July.
There will be 2 events that will take place on 2 surfaces: grass and had courts. One event will be played from 13-15 July on grass at Steffi Graf Stadium. The other one will be saved on a hard court in a hangar at the Tempelhof airport from 17-19 July.
Each of these 2 so-called Bett1 Aces tournaments will feature six men and six women the total prize money will be of 200,000 euros.
Nick Kyrgios, Alexander Zverev, Dominic Thiem and Jannik Sinner are confirmed to play while 2 more players will be announced later.
On the women’s side Elina Svitolina, Kiki Bertens, Julia Goerges, and Andrea Petkovic will participate in the event. Also, in this case, the last to players still need to be announced.
The format and the spectators
The matches will be played with a best of 3 format with a super tiebreak to be played in the third set. There will be no line judges as there will be electronic line calls. While there will be up to 90 people in the stadiums to organize the event, there could be the possibility of hosting up to 1,000 fans if the local laws will allow it.

At the moment ranked no.73, the Italian played his last match on the 5th of March when he lost to Denis Kudla 6-3 6-74 6-2 in the 3rd round of the Indian Wells Challenger.
Dominic Thiem and Jannik Sinner have never played each other.
