Janowicz wins an epic 5 setter to throw an incredible tantrum

Crazy stuff at the Australian Open. Janowicz wins a very intense match 6-7 (10-12), 3-6, 6-1, 6-0, 7-5 against the Indian player Somdev Devvarman.

The tantrum

Janowicz was playing a very tough tiebreak in the first set when he had a set point. The Indian blasted a forehand that looked to be wide, but there was no call from the empire and the linejudge. Since the match was played on a side court there was no eye hawk…. Janowicz lost it to knee in front of the line in pure desperation to then yell at the chair umpire.

Eventually the Pole lost the 79 minutes tie break. The match went to the distance when Janowicz lost also the second set to trash his opponent in the 3rd and the forth. Jerzy then won a 58 minutes decider by 7-5.

Janowicz’ statistics were impressing as he blasted a whopping 91 winners to commit 88 unforced errors.

From Janowicz

“You can’t control your emotions all the time. Actually, I went nuts. I calmed down a little bit later on. Sometimes I have a problem with controlling my emotions, but I’m trying to work on this.” said Jerzy.

Jerzy will play Almagro in he next round.
