Patrick Mouratoglou has been doing a remarkable job in setting up the ultimate (UTS) that will be played at his Academy in June.

Regional and unofficial tennis competitions are popping up all over the world and the French coach has been extremely proactive in creating his own event at his Academy.  Patrick had the brilliant idea of creating a tennis centre in the South of France close to Monte Carlo where many tennis players are also residing. Mouratoglou took advantage of the fact that top players are training at his premises to launch the UTS.

Patrick has already lured the likes of David Goffin, Fabio Fognini, Lucas Pouille, along with Australian rising star Alexei Popyrin.

Felix Auger-Aliassiem was the last addition to the line-up. The Canadian resides in Monte Carlo and he has been training at Patrick’s Academy in the last few days. Auger-Aliassime was recently spotted training with Stefanos Tsitispas and he was elated to join the completion to face some of the best guys in the world.

“In these trying times, I believe that the Ultimate Tennis Showdown will offer players and fans an exciting environment for our sport to thrive in these ongoing circumstances. I’m always up for a challenge and I am really counting down the days until I can share the court again with some of the best guys in the world,” he commented.

The event was originally scheduled to take place in May. However, there have been problems in acquiring the necessary permissions and the beginning of the competition has been delayed to the 13th of June.
