Tomic wins his opener with Mayer in style

All eyes were on Bernard Tomic that deligted the fans with a truly exceptional tennis. The young Australian was always in full control of the match to stroll to the second round without breaking a sweat. The game was particularly entertaining with Bernard using all his incredible repertoire of variations.

Tomic didn’t concede a single break point to break Mayer 5 times. He blasted 6 aces to score 82 points vs. Mayer’s 52.

Bernard will play German qualifier Daniel Brands that is ranked world no.120 to possibly set up a very interesting clash with Federer in he 3rd round.
