Stefanos Tsitsipas has always professed his love for Guga Kuerten. The Greek has Roger Federer and Pete Sampras as his idols. However, he admitted that he would like to have Guga as his coach.
During a recent video on Instagram, Stefanos commented:
“I want to hire Guga as a coach. I remember some of his matches when he was very young, at Roland Garros. I just remember how he played on clay. He was one of the players I liked. But I grew up seeing Roger and Pete Sampras more. He looked very relaxed, he was very talented and he didn’t seem to try very hard to be so good.
There was a lot of passion there. He is the perfect representative for Brazilian tennis because he is as passionate and passionate as they are.”
Kuerten has won 20 titles in his career and he conquered 3 Roland Garros.
