What is the ATP shot of the decade? Federer, Nadal, or Cuevas?

Interesting selection from Tenni TV about the best shots of the last decade.

Nadal Cuevas Federer

Tennis TV has just launched a short survey about who has performed the best shot of the previous decade. 4 hot shots were selected featuring 3 players: Roger Federer (2 shots), Rafael Nadal (1) and Pablo Cuevas (1).

Roger Federer in Basel and Dubai

Roger’s selected shots are 2. The first one is the famous “reverse” overhead that he blasted against Andy Roddick back in Basel 2002. The American decided to slam an overhead hard on the court, sure that there was no way for Roger to recover. Eventually, the Swiss did the impossible to “fly back” and hit an impossible “counter overhead” with the delight of the local fans.

The second selected shot was another impossible magic that Roger performed in Dubai back in 2005 against Andre Agassi when he chased an impossible ball to perform an extraordinary lob. Thi shot was so good that even Roger couldn’t refrain from smiling.

Rafael Nadal in Rome

Back in 2005, it was already almost impossible to win a match against Rafa on clay. The Spanish legend won an outstanding rally in Rome against Radek Stepanek after executing an impossible behind the back shot when he was following the ball all over the places. This was arguably the best shot in Rafa’s outstanding career.

Pablo Cuevas in Vina del Mar

Pablo is an immensely talented player. He executed an impossible passing shot back in 2008 in Vina del Mar against Fernando Gonzalez
