Novak Djokovic has restarted his training in Marbella after the Coronavirus lockdown. The ATP tour has been halted officially until the first of August. However, some unofficial competitions with top players are already taking place in various nations such as in the US, Germany, Austria, and next month France.
According to Novak Djokovic’s coach Goran Ivanisevic, the Serbian sensation will compete in a series of regional competitions when he will be back in Serbia. As reported by SportKlub, Goran revealed:
“We talked several times. The plan is that there is no plan … I’m kidding. The plan is for him to return to Belgrade, then we need to see which local tournaments will be played. Janko [Tipsarevic] is organizing something and also the Tennis Association of Serbia. When we consider our entire region, there are serious tennis tournament with serious players. ”
The Eastern European Championship
There are concrete possibilities that Djokovic will play Tipsarevic’s Eastern European Championship that will take place in Belgrade the week of the 15th of June, Everything needs to be confirmed, but that can definitely happen.

Novak Djokovic’s ranking and performance in 2020
Ranked world no.1, the Serbian played his last match on the 29th of February when he defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3 6-4 in the final in Dubai to win his 80th career title.
During this season the Serbian has a 18-0 win-loss record. Djokovic clinched 2 titles in 2020 at the Australian Open and in Dubai.
