Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are racing hard to be the man with most slams under his belt. For now, Roger Federer is leading with 20 slams followed by Nadal (19) and Djokovic (17). However, age is playing against Roger that is about to turn 39 while Nadal is about to turn 34 and Djokovic 33. Having most of the slam titles in singles is widely and arguably regarded as a key element to be considered as the GOAT (Greatest of All Time).
During a recent interview with Graham Bensinger, Nole conceded that he thinks that he will break the record as the man with most slams and him guy that stayed at the top of the rankings for most weeks. Until now, Djokovic held the No.1 ranking for 282 weeks. That again puts him 3rd in the all-time log, behind Federer (310) and Sampras (286).
He commented:
“I am always very confident in myself. I think confidence is derived from self-belief, self-belief is derived from clarity that you have, and clarity that you have is derived from the love and joy for what you do, what you choose to do in your life.
I believe I can win most Slams, and break the record for longest No. 1. Those are definitely my clear goals.”

Ranked no.4, Federer played his last match on the 30th of January when he was defeated by Novak Djokovic 7-61 6-4 6-3 in the semifinal of the Australian Open.

Ranked no.2, the Spaniard played his last match on the 29th of February when he overcame Taylor Fritz 6-3 6-2 in the final in Acapulco to win his 85th career title.
At the moment, this season Rafael has a 13-3 win-loss record. Nadal clinched 1 title in Acapulco.
