Federer

Roger Federer is an inspiration for the tennis world and beyond. The Swiss sensation alongside former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning surprised Christianne Calderon, a COVID-19 healthcare professional when she was interviewed by the ESPN about her role on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic.

Christianne is passionate about tennis and she explained that she wants to win and winning in her job means saving lives. She commented:

“I don’t want to lose. And in the patient setting during this pandemic, winning is discharging the patient out of the IC. That is winning. Or taking the tube out of the ventilator. That’s winning. And because I always want to win, I celebrate every little minute changes, that are positive changes, I call it a win.”

When Roger Federer bumped in the video, Christianne was completely star-struck and roger had one of his lovely words to say:

“People think, we the athletes, are superheroes. But we think the same about somebody like you Christianne. You are the hero because you actually do save lives. You actually do make that difference.”

What a lovely man!
