Novak Djokovic is among the greatest tennis players in history and he needs to thank his incredible mental toughness when winning impossible matches. The Serbian sensation conquered his last 2 slams in Wimbledon and at the Australian Open when things looked pretty bad. At the Championships in the final, he stunned Federer after saving 2 consecutive points on Roger’s serve. Earlier in January, he looked completely “gone” in the final against Thiem before turning things around.
Djokovic ascribes his incredible mental toughness to his philosophy of life. The world no.1 is vegan, and he believes in the power of self-healing. He admitted that he cried for 3 days after he had an elbow surgery as he thought he failed his own beliefs.
Novak uses his well-earned popularity to create a platform to disseminate his ideas. However, sometimes he sounds a bit too detached from the more conformist world.
Novak latest video
The world no.1 had a rather controversial video with Iranian Chervin Jafarieh, a self-proclaimed alchemist that maintains that water molecules react to our emotions and therefore you can change polluted water to drinking water with your emotions. The world no.1 was endorsing the claim.
Djokovic was already criticized for his anti-vaccine stand when he wasn’t sure if he would be back on tour if he being vaccinated would have been requested.
Unfortunately, Nole was badly blasted all over the places for this claim. Renowned commentator Mary Carillo commented: “It’s not a surprise Novak speaks in these ways. This I find particularly dangerous. He’s not the kind of guy whose favorite music changes in every room he moves in. I’m very disturbed that Djokovic
and that other guy are saying you can change toxic water to drinking water.”Well-known journalist Ben Rothenberg added:
“Undaunted, ATP #1 Novak Djokovic continues to give his big platform over to some truly nutty pseudoscience blabber. Not as potentially dangerous as being anti-vaccines, but NO, you cannot change the molecular structure of water with your emotions, ffs.”
