Novak Djokovic is back on a tennis court in Spain, but apparently that was done against the lockdown rules.
The tennis legend posted a rather uplifting video of him back on a tennis court (that was great). However, many noticed that he might have broken the rule of the Spanish lockdown.
The Spanish tennis federation announced on Monday that professional players are allowed to exercise with a coach, but not on a tennis court. The problem is that the Federation added: “Given the doubts that the Ministerial Order offers in some aspects, and after having made the appropriate consultations to the CSD, the opening of the training centers and clubs will take place from Monday, May 11.”
It’s not clear if Nole will be sanctioned with a fine. What is certain is that if he infringed a rule he definitely didn’t do intentionally.
On a bright note, it was really great seeing him back on a tennis court. We are looking forward to more.
