The charitable cause
The $1 million winner’s prize was pledged to No Kid Hungry. All participants received $25,000 each that were donated to charities of their choice.
Fritz commented: “I was more nervous there than in any of my real matches. This was so much fun. Addison absolutely carried the team.”
“I play a lot of video games and recently got back into it because there’s been a lot of virtual athlete tournaments. I’ve never played Mario Tennis, but I want to win this really bad.”

Ranked no.10, the Japanese played her last match on the 7th of February when she was defeated by Sara Sorribes Tormo 6-0 6-3 in the Rubber 1 of the Fed Cup.
