Tennis is back in Germany! After being flooded with all sorts of videos of players exercising, dancing, and cooking at home (nothing wrong with that), we have the real deal finally.
Dustin Brown is the big star of an exhibition that is currently playing at the Base Tennis club in Höhr-Grenzhausen in Germany. Called the Tennis Point Exhibition Series, the event is staged over 12 days that will be played in 3 sessions in may: 1-4th, 7-10th, 14-17th.
8 players are involved in the exhibition. Besides the always entertaining Dustin Brown, we have Yannick Hanfmann, Johannes Haerteis, Jan Choinski, Benjamin Hassan, Constantin Schmitz, Jean-Marc Werner, and Florian Broska.
After the 1st day, Dustin Brown is leading the pack with 2 wins.
The format and the precautions
In the first 3 days of every session, each player will compete in 2 matches that will determine a playoff. Each match will be played on a best of 3 format, but each set lasts 4 games with a tiebreak on a 3-3 scoreline, The no-advantage scoring system is also applied.
There will be no ball kids, no lines judges, no cameramen, and no fans. The event will be streamed via remotely operated cameras live on Tennis Channel, Tennis Channel International in Germany. On demand, the event will be streamed on TennisChannel.com, TENNIS.com, and the Tennis Channel App, will be transmitted via PlaySight, top the court-capturing technology.
