Bad news for the tennis world as it seems that the tours will have another suspension. According to the well-known Spanish outlet, Marca, the tours are going to be delayed for the 3rd time. After the last suspension, pro-tennis was meant to be back on the 13th of July with the entire clay and grass court season wiped out. However, it seems that tennis will resume only on the 3rd of August instead.

The tournaments that will be canceled

If the reports will be confirmed, the following tournaments will be canceled:  Hamburg, Newport, Bastide, Los Cabos, Gstaad, Umag, Atlanta and Kitzbuhel (ATP); Bucharest, Lausanne, Palermo, Riga, new haven and Karlsruhe (WTA).

The hope is that tennis will resume in time for the North American swing giving the priorities to top events such as Cincinnati and the US Open. The Rogers Cup may still be played in Toronto (ATP) while the event in Montreal (WTA) has been canceled because Quebec has banned all events until the 31st of August.
