Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer share a fantastic rivalry on court and a great friendship off court. The 2 tennis legends love spending time together and exchange ideas on how to improve their beloved sport.

The Spaniard and the Swiss joined the ATP council together a few months ago to add their valuable contribution taking advantage of their extensive experience on tour accumulated during the last 2 decades. Roger “shocked” the tennis world after posting the idea that it is NOW time to act and unite the ATP and the WTA. The 2 organizations have been working together extremely well in the past few weeks when taking the necessary actions to cope with the Coronavirus pandemic. That seems to be a good signal to make a move and start to undertake decisive action to merge the tours.

Apparently, there have been already a lot of talks about this and Rafa replied to Roger’s tweet as follows: “Hey @rogerfederer as you know per our discussions I completely agree that it would be great to get out of this world crisis with the union of men’s and women’s tennis in one only organisation.”

According to many, tennis legend and WTA founder, Billie Jean King, has always agreed about the merging to tweet: “Agreed! Sign me up to join the team.”
