Isner will not play the Australian Open

Tough luck for the American no.1.

John Isner has already withdrawn from the Hopman Cup because of a problem to his knee that was bothering him for one month, but that was not the end of the story.

There were already some rumours that he would have not played the Australian Open and unfortunately the confirmation came soon after with a communicate.

Bone Bruise

“I am extremely disappointed to announce that I have to withdraw from the Australian Open. I have been feeling some discomfort in my knee and have recently learned that I have a bone bruise,” Isner said

It could become serious

“My doctors have told me that continuing to play on the knee could result in a more serious injury, so I have regrettably decided not to compete in Melbourne and use the time to fully recover.” he added.

Good luck…
