Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari are the faces of Greek tennis and among the most celebrated athletes in their countries. Both are enduring this prolonged global lockdown caused by the Coronavirus pandemic that has halted all tennis events like all the other sports.
Stefanos and Maria were part of a group that had a conversation with the Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the Minister of Sport Lefteris Avgenakis talking about the current state of sport and the overall situation during the pandemic.
Kyriakos later posted: “I had the great pleasure to talk to great athletes who have made us proud of their successes, and today they contribute to the success of the “Stay Home” message and contribute to the promotion of healthy living and exercise.”
