Serena Williams is a true tennis legend. The American sensation captured the imagination of the people around the world not only because of her huge success on court, but also because she keeps on inspiring as a role model.
The 38-year-old is currently self-isolating with her family to try to weather these difficult times dictated by the Coronavirus outbreak.
Serena got to social media to explain that you do not need to be a supreme athlete (like her) or a celebrity to become a legend, but legends are all over the world.
In a heartfelt video, Williams reveals why her mother is a true legend for her not only for the decisive inputs she received from her during her tennis career but also and especially for what she did for her when she was little.
This was her message on Instagram: “It has nothing to do with fame and notoriety. There are legends all around us. For me, my mom has been a legend in my life since the start. I want to know about the legendary people in your life and how you’re celebrating them. We’ll be sharing more legendary love this week on S by Serena, and I challenge you to shout out the legends on your own social and tag”
