Roger Federer was eager to get back to competitions after his knee operation and he definitely had the idea to conquer his 9th Wimbledon this year especially after he was so close in 2019. Unfortunately, that will not happen as the Championships have been canceled.
Roger will be almost 40 next year when he will probably give another shot at Wimbledon and it seems more and more obvious that his chances to conquer his 21st slam are getting slimmer and slimmer.
Tennis legend Rod Laver is a great friend of Roger and replying to a video posted by the tennis legend, he commented:

Currently the world no.4, Roger played his last match on the 30th of January when he surrendered to Novak Djokovic 7-61 6-4 6-3 in the semifinal of the Australian Open.
